Eliza and Twiggi - Tag Team

Eliza and Twiggi are two characters I love pearing together since they are so opposite of each other.  Eliza is big, cheerful and innocent where Twiggi is small, mean and vicious.  I like drawing Twiggi but I didn't want to focus a stream on her since that may bore the crowd.  I'll draw her on my own free time and color this up.

Vector inks want!!!

I want to practice vector inking since I've seen some bad ass stuff with it on youtube.  Also it was how I originally did my inking so I wanna see if I can make it work more now.

I'm not happy with this test shot since my inks always look sloppy but I can't get Illustrator to taper to a fine point like I can with Sai.  Which is really frustrating on top of learning again how to make illustrator do what I want it to.

Bust practice

 

I should of finished the last hippo pic today but I was not so confident on my breast.  So I did a batch of quick sketches with ref to try to grasp how they should move hold and be placed.

I also updated my Twitter and Formspring page backgrounds.  Very minor but tomorrow is the last day of the work week so hopefully I can run through that hippo sale and try other things.

Yeah I know.  I'm so predictable but I love seeing this stuff.  I'll work on more hippo sales tonight hopefully.  Then come back to this.

Faces

Expressions are my weak point and for characters its a necessity to get these down ASAP.  I really really appreciate fine details in facial expressions that show exactly what a character is thinking more than dialog but I don't have that skill level to pull that off but I wanna improve.

Bertha & Rapid Beep "beep umph umph"

Well....I love this sketch.  I'll color it up right when I feel like it I didn't wanna rush it since I may notice some mistakes by taking a break from it and coming back.  I actually wanted to practice drawing male nudes so I just used Rapid and Bertha since they are my favorite couple.

My favorite hippo.  I've been in a mood to want to see a lot of her so that's all I've been doodling.  I like these sketches and I want to color them but I'm gonna keep drawing and see if I get anything that may be better for her.

Bertha squashes Rapid...again again

  I apologize for being infrequent with my updates but I felt like I've been in slump.  My style is recognizable but my content is repetitive and my poses seem repeated to much IMO.  So I haven't been posting since I've been wanting to try different things.  I'll get back into it since the more I draw the more I get comfortable with it.

...and now Kazefat's pants don't fit him.  I'm gonna add more junk food items to the bg and maybe color this.  However all of last week I was worried that I was in a slump when really I just didn't have the desire to draw.  I still don't due to games and its a relief to know that its a mind thing.  So hopefully I'll get some pics done soon.

Blackberry Commission

Fat Black berry sitting at a sushi restaurant with sushi being fed straight to her.  This took way to long to complete but I hope Blackberry likes it.

This sketch is a commission for Vickymouse she wants to be in a wrestling outfit that is practical and I'll aim for that...tomorrow.  I want her to see the sketch and approve any further progress.

Triceratops

A concept for a triceratops gal.  Boring pose since its a first time drawing of her.  I don't like her so far and I may just abandon the idea.

Sorry for my lack of updates to the blog.  I tend to finish sketches in one sitting and just post them as they are completed.

Gill Squash Kaze

I had fun with this one.  I really wanna get it colored and posted tonight if possible.  But I may be impatient so I'm gonna let this one sit, work on other pics and then all the flaws of this pic will become really obvious.

I got pretty far but I didn't finish.  I like how it looks so far and I really hate how sloppy my pencils are in this one.  Usually I don't care but its noticeably messing me up on a lot of parts.  Taking a break from this pic may be what I need.

I like this one.  The previous sketches of this pic weren't that appealing to me but this one I can see through till the end.  However I wanna make sure Addy likes the concept before I even continue.

Mighty Mattress

Alright for this concept Bertha is gonna sit on a stack of mattresses with Rapid under her.  All of them are gonna be buckling to her weight and the wooden floor boards may start to give way as well.  She may stay nude even for the final one.

This is a good example of how lazy I've gotten.  I can't even finish a sketch in one sitting anymore.  Anyway Jiggly is gonna be taking a bump in the back and she's really selling it so I want to make this show that Luna can be a villain.  Next I'll draw Luna and add her to show y'all.

Well I got tired.  As predicted but I got pretty far and it doesn't look too shabby.   I'll finish this tomorrow and hopefully will get it posted.  Also I'm gonna open Commissions again soon since....I really don't have a reason for them being closed.  I needed a break but I got it and I'm comfy drawing so I'll open them up in small doses.

 

Jumba is gonna be sitting on someone doing the splits.  I just don't know who.

He did a fantastic speed sketch of my Eliza so I wanted to return the favor by speed sketching his EG.  I love this character and have for so long it was a threat to get to doodle her again.

    I don't mind how I drew Gill so far but I got upset at how I drew Kaze(I removed the layer with him on it).  The plan was to run straight through it sketch to color but when I get frustrated its better to stop and think about how I should draw it otherwise I'll be dissatisfied with a bad drawing.  I'm hoping for a tomorrow completion but no promising anything.

     Oh, and I wanna stream on Thursday so if you all wanna watch I'll make and announcement and try to do it around 8 pm.

I haven't used Jumba in a while.  I've been hooked on using her brother instead.  But a while back I wanted to see her so i doodled this.  Its very simple but I like it just for what it shows.

Livestream Test 9/10

Results of the Live Stream on 9/10.  I had fun drawing.  My audio works but I'm not very chatty so I'm not sure if people heard my voice or not but I'm pretty sure it works.  First pic is funny to me so i wanna finish and the last is surprisingly good to me.  I usually think I get tired of drawing really quickly but its a dynamic pose on my last drawing.  Maybe I need to warm up more often by drawing for longer periods of time.

Light the Lucario Commission

Commission Progress for Light the Lucario.  I must deeply applogize for being so slow on it but I'm burnt out on commissions.  I'll make sure that I'm in the right mindset before taking on jobs for other people again.  

This pic is on its way to being finished, the plan is to keep the lines sketchy since I'm gonna paint over it anyway.  I'll clean up of course since this is a "Color" commission not a "color sketch" commission.  Toward the end of the sketch challenge I kinda over did a lot of pics which may have raised the bar for my color pics but I'll focus on this and get it done.  I don't wanna set a date for its completion since I don't wanna rush it.
