Luiku attempts / More Makuyama

As I said on my description of the final product I drew Luiku several times and just never liked the result.  The pic I posted was an interesting pose and angle so I went with it.  The ones preceeding it all have flaws that I just didn't like.  I hope you enjoy these scraps.

Of course these drawings as fail as they are to me are still a gift to RikkusGuardian as part of his commission.  If he choses to post them thats fine with me.

Drawn with my friend Crytus.  I'm a bit dissapointed that I can't draw Makuyama well but then again I'm doing this late night and was rushing every drawing.

Emperor (Lion-Bear) concept

This guy is still being conceptualized but the concept of a bear and a lion in one dude sounds badass and intimidating.  So he's gonna be a worthy rival to Makuyama.

Makuyama, I didn't finished this doodle since its not really anything fancy.  Just a pic of him bending over to pick up something off screen.

Oversaturating?

Just a simple pic of Kaze and Jiggly.  Not much to say about it.  I don't hate it but Kaze isn't really well shown so I scrapped it.

I kinda want this girl to be a rival to one of Vicious Disko' Girls.  I'll talk to him about it later to see what he thinks.


Am I posting too often on this blog? I kind feel that maybe I'm watering down the value of each post by posting so often. Do you think I should post more stuff but less often or just keep this site updated.

Busty Bird Practice / Mustoshi Commission

The Batch of pics above was in a stream where I was talking to Jaeh about a trade. Jaeh's style has really gotten awesome and I would love to see his take on my characters. We are still talking about what we are gonna trade/collab on so stay tuned.

This was a commission for Mustoshi. I was suprised since I like this pic but I was able to do it in one sitting. I rarely ever do that these days. I wasn't able to continue though after it since I felt drained of drawing.

Makuyama vs Lardo / Computer updated successfully.

I did this in a stream last week but just now get to uploading it. Sorry for that delay.

I spent most of this weekend hanging out and working on both of my computers. I got my PC updated to Windows 7 from Windows XP and my iBook went from OSX Tiger to OSX Leopard. The upgrade to 7 was a pain at first but it suprisingly does more, looks better and does it faster than XP. I'm shocked.

I haven't had a lot of time to evaulate my mac's performance but I don't use it much for art anyway.

Lardo's Throne / Computer Update

These doodles are from an Open Canvas with Crytus and Cerulean from yesterday. I want to post the pics I did in the stream but I don't have those on me right now so they'll come up later.

In computer news, I'm very jealous of other users and artist on higher OS's when I know I shouldn't be. So I'm gonna try to upgrade my computer from XP to 7 and my Mac from OS 10.4 to 10.5 . I won't be streaming tonight due to it being my friends birthday celebration night. Take care guys.

Pryo Commission / Sunset

This image is the WIP shot of Pyrocanis' commission.  I liked where I got but he had to go to bed since he had work so my motivation to stay on it dropped when he left.  I do like it so far and I'll finish it tomorrow.

The "Sunset" set suggested by Nero Angelo in a stream.  Bertha is by far my favorite character so that was hard to resist doing.  Front and back view since Bertha's main asset is her huge backside and I wanted to show all of her.

Edit : Pyro's commission is near complete gotta add a few more things to make it really shine and feel like a whole picutre.

open Canvas session with Lesang and Gamelink

First batch of pics were done with just me and Lesang. I wanted to see squashing by his new Fatty Panda girl so he drew it and I drew it. Out of respect I never post anyone elses work in my open Canvas sessions unless I know its cool so keep an eye on him in case he post his portions.

Second batch I had a lot less energy but Lesang was unstoppable even on our second oC. I’m happiest with the Jiggly butt grabbing pic due to it being a crowd pic which. Is something I absolutely suck at. I’m trying to get better since a lot of peeps that commission me often start asking for more characters in a pic.

Kazecat 2010 progress

I was working on this on in the stream but I decided not to since I felt bad. I mean I didn't wanna waste everyones time on just a pic of me and I didn't want to rush this one either. Colors should come soon then Pyro's Commission.

Kazecat 2010

I've been wanting to do this since December, Kazecat needs a update on his appearance. Not that his last design was flawed but I want Kaze to seem like a guy that gets squashed because he WANTS to not because he's doomed to it. However as he is already an existing character I didn't wanna do a radically different change since that's rarely ever a good idea. So his design change is simply just more muscle. I'm gonna try to finish this before working on Pyro's commission.

Pastillia's Butt

...is legendary. I kinda figured her butt would win. :P I did this poll as a kinda joke since I wanted to try a pose I had in my head for a while. I'm gonna stream a pic of her belly smashing an opponent after I eat. So stay tuned if your interested in seeing that.

Shortly after I started the stream I noticed a lot annoying computer issues. And ended it. Here is the drawing so far.

Few things I've noticed.
* Lag
* Tablet keeping leaving strokes even when pen was off of it.

Also these things never happened on blogtv before and I noticed the tablet issues on the pics before it so I hope my tablet isn't going out. If that's the case it gives me quick motivation to pick up an Intuos 4 but I kinda wanna hold on to my money since that would hurt my account right now.  So I'm gonna format and reinstall everything and then stream tonight to see if it goes better.

It was a great stream. I thank everyone who showed up and will like to do shows like that more often.

New Poll - Night streamin'

I wanted to do an image quickly for the ustream crowd. Since I really hate wasting time doing nothing. I usually try to just stream me coloring to avoid this.

Also new poll, much shorter time limit. I hope you have fun with this poll to make up for last ones major leave-out.

Sorry if this image is a bit dark. I colored it while Co-hosting a stream with GL. I met a lot of new people on the stream and had fun talking about game music and old games with the crowd we had. If you missed it I'll try to make streams a more common occurrence so you won't feel left out.

Cynthia Comic progress

My current progress on Vengeful's 2nd commission. This time with a Hippo named Cynthia. The inks will come tomorrow and also the poll ends on the 15th which is also my weekend pretty much so I want to finish this commission. Do the victors pic then work on Pyro's commission. But I'm very slow on weekends so don't expect much.

Idle stuff

This is a concept sketch for Cynthia Hippo who will be Lucky Fox's Girlfriend. The original idea for Cynthia was that she was a back up dancer hippo. Which while that is cool I just drew Hyacinth, so if I have to do again lets just stick with Hyacinth since anything less would just be a lame rip off. I hated that concept so I asked Vengeful to go in a different direction design wise. This is the result of the first concept sketch.

This joke pic I did in an open Canvas session with GL. It was just a fun idea and I laughed at it while I drew it.

I wanted to see another Bertha pic for a while now but since I work on commissions mostly I put it on the backburner. However since Vengeful didn't have an idea ready I just moved on and drew this on the way to work. Do y'all think I should color it.

With the last days of the poll coming soon. I'm open to suggestions on what the winner does in their victory pic.

Hyacinth Comic

Well the comic is pretty much done. But I'm at work and I wanna add some fine details before I post it. So this gives me a chance to take a break from it and wait for VengefulDragon to get on.

Kaze Avatar / Hyacinth Comic rough

I did this one as a quickie for a friend of mine that wanted to see how I color. I like it though and I may make it my avatar soon.

This is the rough pass of the comic commission for Vengefuldragon. I'm having a lot of fun with this one and I hope to finish it soon.

Progress shot before work. I hope to finish this shortly after work. Then move on to the next comic idea.

Aroma vs Lardo

Well this sketch is just a promotional pic. Since Aroma and Lardo are winning right now. Yeah I know I kinda botched this poll in multiple ways: Leaving out Pastillia, have only one male vs all girls, etc. But I'm only doing this for fun and I hope you all take it with a grain of salt. The prize is that the winner just gets drawn on that day. This poll is just a backburner project since the current task is still to do commissions.

Hyacinth Practice

VengefulDragon wants a sequence with his fox Lucky getting squashed by Hyacinth Hippo from Fantasia. Which sounds like fun to do since I'm also a fan of her. So before I started I wanted to get her down first or at least better. I'm not doing her as well as the original but that may be too much to ask for someone who just drew her a few times in a single day. I hope you enjoy

Edit: Well unfortunately I can't peeps to the poll so that really sucks since in the comments I noticed some obvious leftouts in Makuyama, Slim and Pastilla. I'm really sorry for that and as a constellation I'll try to doodle them on the way to work or in my free time.

Violet Hot Shorts

After seeing Chun Li in hot shorts I really wanted to make Violets main outfit hot shorts. So I doodled it on the way to work but didn't finish it. I think I'll finish this sketch then work on David Freeman's commission next.

Once I got home I wanted to put more time to painting her so here is my final result. I'm definitely keeping my inks from now on but its nice to know I can attempt to go with out them.
